About Arela
A psychologist who combines rigour with genuine care.
Growing up between Albania and Canada gave me an early and personal understanding of how history, culture, migration, and identity shape the way we experience ourselves and the world. My path into psychology grew out of that. Too often, people navigating the long-lasting effects of trauma, whether from painful life experiences, complex relationships, or intergenerational struggles, are left feeling isolated or like change is not possible for them. Trauma Care Psychology was built to offer something different: personalized, compassionate, and culturally attuned care for people who feel stuck or misunderstood.
I oversee all clinical operations at the practice, train our associates, and provide ongoing supervision and consultation to every clinician on the team. This means that regardless of who you work with, the care you receive is consistent, evidence-based, and held to a standard I stand behind.
My own work focuses on helping clients move through emotional pain, understand their patterns with more compassion, and build the kind of life and relationships they actually want. Sessions are guided by a treatment plan but stay responsive to what you bring each week. I want this to be a space where change feels genuinely possible, and where therapy feels like it is working.
