Our Approach

What makes our individual therapy different

Most people who come to us have already tried therapy. What brings them here is the sense that previous treatment addressed the surface without reaching what was actually driving it.

We assess before we treat

Every intake is thorough. Before recommending a therapy or clinician, we take the time to understand your full history, what has maintained your difficulties, and what has or has not worked before. Treatment is built around that picture.

Trauma-informed across all presentations

Even when trauma is not the primary concern, a trauma-informed lens changes how we pace treatment, build the therapeutic relationship, and apply evidence-based techniques. It is woven into how we work, not a separate module.

Evidence-based and personalized

We draw from therapies with the strongest research base, and we adapt them to fit your situation. Treatment is not selected by diagnosis alone. It is selected by what is actually driving your difficulties and what you need to move forward.

Our Programs

Ten evidence-based therapies, three clinical groups

If you are unsure which approach fits your situation, the intake process will work that out with you.

Trauma-Focused Programs

Structured programs designed around specific trauma presentations, combining assessment, stabilization, and targeted treatment in a defined sequence.

Trauma Processing Therapies

Evidence-based therapies with the strongest research base for processing traumatic memories and reducing PTSD symptoms.

Skills, Values and Emotion-Based Therapies

Approaches that build psychological flexibility, emotion regulation, and self-understanding. Effective across a wide range of presentations and as complements to trauma processing.

Getting Started

How we match you to the right approach

You do not need to know which therapy is right before reaching out. That is what the intake process is for.

1

Free intro call

A brief conversation with our intake coordinator to understand what you are looking for and whether we are a good fit. No assessment, no pressure. Just a starting point.

2

Individual intake session

A comprehensive assessment with your therapist covering your history, current difficulties, previous treatment, and goals. This is where we build the picture that guides everything else.

3

Formulation and treatment plan

Your therapist shares a clear formulation of what they found and recommends the approach or combination of approaches best suited to your situation. You decide together how to proceed.

Concerns We Treat

What we help with

Each concern is approached through a trauma-informed lens with evidence-based therapies adapted to your full history. Click any concern to learn more about how we treat it.

Is This Right for You

When standard therapy has not been enough

Many people come to us after therapy that helped to a point but did not reach the underlying cause. Standard CBT or counselling can be highly effective, but when trauma, emotional dysregulation, or complex histories are part of the picture, a more targeted approach is often needed.

A trauma-informed approach does not mean every session is about the past. It means the past is accounted for in how treatment is paced, how the therapeutic relationship is built, and how evidence-based techniques are applied. For many clients, this changes what becomes possible in therapy.
